Ice Age Show
July 29 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm
“Mastodons, Cavemen and Bears- Oh My!” Field Paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka will highlight the ice age and explore the life of cavemen and the unusual animals that inhabited the planet. They will feature two amazing skulls – a SABRE-TOOTH TIGER and a CAVE BEAR, that their team excavated. We will see actual fossils and early tools of humans and will play the “Are You Smarter Than a Caveman” game show. Each child will have the opportunity to dig up a real Mastodon bone and help to build a Mastodon! All ages are invited! Bring a chair or blanket to spread out in the grass. In the event of rain, the program will be held inside the library.
