DESCRIPTION:Our 11th annual summer festival to benefit Spalding Memorial Library and Tioga Point Museum will be held in our beautiful gardens and grounds on the banks of the Chemung River. It is an evening of laughter and enjoyment with our friends and neighbors. We put the “fun” in fundraising for this event with music\, basket raffles\, a silent auction\, and tastings of wine\, beer\, and food sponsored by our local and area restaurants\, caterers\, wineries\, and breweries. Food will not be served at 5PM to ensure all patrons get to have nibbles as well. We hope to see you there! Tickets are available at the Library and Museum for $20 each! They will feature two amazing skulls – a SABRE-TOOTH TIGER and a CAVE BEAR\, that their team excavated. We will see actual fossils and early tools of humans and will play the “Are You Smarter Than a Caveman” game show. Each child will have the opportunity to dig up a real Mastodon bone and help to build a Mastodon! All ages are invited! Bring a chair or blanket to spread out in the grass. In the event of rain\, the program will be held inside the library.
